My name is Zoey and I am almost two years old. I am a German Shepherd and I only weigh around 55 pounds. The rescue came and got me when a nice man who was feeding me called for some help. You see I was going to have babies and I did about 36 hours after coming to the rescue. I don’t want you to think I went willing at first because they actually trapped me. I didn’t realize how good life could be until now.
I wasn’t in very good physical shape when the kids were born but three lived and the other two I will see someday. They are grown and have homes of their own now so it’s my turn. I can hardly wait to meet my new family and see what toys they have for me to play with.
My foster mom has been working with me on some things I shouldn’t do. I love to jump on you and wrap my paws around you. She says it hurts and I need to be gentler so I probably shouldn’t be around cats or small dogs either.
Also I can’t dig in the yard or jump the low fences, bummer but it’s for my own good I’m told. I still have to work on my manners with my special person or family. I am a clingy girl and love to be where you are or at least see you. I guess I am a little afraid to be left again, can you understand that?
I have had my vaccinations, was spay and micro chipped so I am ready for adoption. Are you ready for a girl with some loving energy? If so please go to www.dogsasfamily.com and fill out an application for me Zoey. My adoption fee is 150.00. I am waiting for you.
December 2012: I was selected for a prison dog training program. I will graduate February 14, 2013 I will know all my basic manners, be house trained and crate trained. See you when I get back.
