   Louis and Clark were rescued on December 27, 2009. They had been literally "dumped" off the side of the road to fend for themselves. They were freezing and very hungry. Luckily they were not seen the night before so hopefully they had only been dumped hours before.

   After just a quick call and they came running eager to eat and have someone take care of them.

   They are approximately 3 1/2 - 4 months old and seem to be a Shepherd mix. They have now been dewormed and are growing like healthy puppies should. The attached picture was taken moments after being rescued so they were still a bit on the shy side in the photo. More pics to come.

   Clark is about 15 pounds right now. He is the darker coat with broad white blaze on chest. He is a bit more shy than Louis. He has gotten a lot better about being handled by people. He will sit in your lap for about 5-10 minutes and then get distracted. He loves to be petted and occasionally will give a kiss or two. Clark is also a little bit protective with his food, but if you are standing next to him, he has no problems.

    Louis is about 20 pounds right now and is the more submissive of the two. He is extremely sweet and loves to have his belly rubbed. He is very playful, yet shy at the same time.

    Both boys do VERY well in a crate. They have been around many other dogs (19 to be exact) and several people. Clark does tend to like women better. Louis loves everyone. They have shown no aggression and have had ZERO accidents in the house.

    They do bark a little bit when outside but not prolonged and usually at something or someone passing by. 

    They are eating heartily and listen well.
