UPDATE 5/1/2010: Hey, Sophie here. I went to the prison training program and I learned something called agility training. Man, do I love it!! I am so quick the trainer can't even keep up with me anymore. Maybe we could do that together?
Hey everyone, my name is Sophie. I am about a year old, I weigh seventeen pounds and I am an Italian Greyhound mix.
I was brought into the rescue from a place about two hours away from Oklahoma City. I am not sure how I ended up in a shelter but I can tell you I love to run and play. I think I am a pretty fast runner too.
My coat is very soft, almost like velvet and I have long slender legs. I will admit sometimes I have a hard time putting on the breaks when I am running so I slide into things. I think I need to tune that skill up a little. Maybe that’s why some dogs don’t want to play with me, please don’t get me wrong I like other dogs, some just think I am too playful or too fast. Maybe they are jealous of my speed?
Those soft toys with stuffing are the best; yeah the best to pull all the stuffing out of and then you get that squeaky thing! Oh, I like all toys…I really like pretty much anything.
I know I told you I could run fast well you should see me eat. I don’t want to waste too much time eating so that food is gone just about as soon as you set the bowl down.
They took me to the vet and I had all my vaccinations, was spayed & micro chipped but I tested positive for something called Ehrlichia. It is caused by a tick bite; hmmm I wonder how that tick caught me to bite me? Oh well, they treated me that and I am all better now.
My adoption fee is $150.00 and you can fill out an adoption application at www.dogsasfamily.com. Catch you soon. Sophie
