Hello!  My name is River. I am a two year old male Australian shepherd that weighs about 40 pounds. I came to the rescue as a puppy, was adopted and now recently returned.  Yes, I messed up and chased the neighbors chickens.  What can I say except I was bored and it was fun.  Now I am searching for a new home that I can use my brains and energy to be a great furry family member.

I grew up with other dogs, cats and small children.  I like to play, run and do just about anything with you or another furry family member.   I know my basic manners, well except for chicken etiquette.   I need a job to do or a few if you have some.  I am so smart that you can teach me just about anything.  When we first meet I will be a little cautious but will warm up quickly.  I am house and crate trained.  I am not a yard dog and prefer to stick close to my human family.  I will need to be brushed and do shed.  I have bright blue eyes and those describe my heart and personality best.

I have been vaccinated (including canine influenza), neutered and microchipped.  I am current on heartworm/flea and tick preventatives.
