Hi!  My name is Dixie.  I am a twelve year old female chihuahua that weighs about 9 pounds. I was adopted almost ten years ago and my family recently returned me to the rescue.  They said they couldn’t take care of me anymore.  I don’t understand that, I really don’t have any bad health issues and am quite active.  Can you love a little old lady with fur?

   Life is good and I am happy.  I like everyone I meet and give lots of kisses and snuggles.  I am quiet in your arms and will dance to get you to pick me up.  I like other dogs, cats and kids. I just love everyone big or small.  Running around in the fenced yard is fun but I am a house dog so don’t leave me in the yard.  I know to potty outside and will stay in a crate while you are gone if I need to.  My coat is soft.  I had a dental cleaning with extractions, yep, I have one tooth left in my mouth.  I don’t care.  I still eat small kibble dry food and would love some soft stuff if you have it.  Life is too good to be sad about anything.
