Hi. My name is Tinker Bell. I was born in October 2021 and I weigh about ten pounds now. I came to the rescue in January weighing a little less than two pounds after I was found in the street and taken to the shelter. I was so small and had a skin condition that they called the rescue to come and get me right away and that is where my story begins.
As soon as the rescue picked me up I went straight to the vet. I had something called mange and it was treatable! So I spend the next months getting treatments until it all cleared up. I feel and look so much better. At first they thought I was a chihuahua but I just kept growing so maybe I have a little min pin in there too.
I love toys and other dogs. I get so excited when I play I make silly sounds. It is hard to contain yourself when you are happy so I probably talk a little more often. I like chew toys and having fun. Cuddling or sleeping with the other dogs in the house is one of my favorite times. When I am ready I will cuddle with my humans too. Treats or food motivate me so teach away! I have worked on house training but still make a mistake every so often but I know what a potty pad is for if you are gone for a long time. I like the idea of sleeping with my family.
I have had three rounds of vaccinations and worming, had my rabies vaccination, am spay and microchipped. I am also current on flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. My adoption fee is 300.00 to help cover my vets expenses. The first step in adopting me, Tinker Bell, is to complete an adoption application at dogsasfamily.org. To have a family of my own, all I can say is "awhoo", so glad to meet you!
