My name is Xena and I am over a year old German shepherd girl that weighs almost 70 lbs.  I came to the rescue with those awful heartworms from a mosquito bite.  Now I have gone through heartworm treatment and am ready for a permanent home. It's been hard for me to stay quiet but I did it. Now, we need to slowly add longer walks or runs back into my life over the next few months.

Can I let you in on a secret?  I appear to be trained with German commands. But I can still be your best friend. We can adjust to a different language together, right?  I am housetrained and would prefer to take care of you myself.  So can I be your only girl? Honestly, I am bossy to other animals and need to be the only pet in the house.  If you need a cute girl to keep you company and take care of you too, I am the one.  You don't have to worry about a door bell, I will tell you when anyone is around.  I love to play ball with you in our fenced yard.  It would be best if it was a tall wood fence because I can sail over a chain link fence without even touching it.  I like to make sure the yard is safe for you and most of all just be by your side.
