When I came to the rescue I tested heartworm positive.  I got heartworms from a mosquito bite but I could have died without treatment.  Luckily the rescue had me treated and now I am proud to say I am heartworm negative.  I won't lie to you, I can be very stubborn.  I am energetic, spirited, loving, devoted and amusing too.  I am aggressive toward other dogs and like to "mark" all the trees.  If you want me in your life you probably better have jack or parson russell experience because I need a strong leader in my home or I will take over and misbehave. I need to be your only pet.  I act fearless but will hide behind you at the vet.
