Hi. My name is Rosie. I am a female cocker spaniel that is about seven years old and I weigh around 20 pounds. When I came to the rescue I was very sick and been neglected. My coat was a mess and I felt awful. The nice animal control people said I deserved better and sent me to the rescue. I have learned that I do deserve more and am as ready as I can be for a new home.
I am loving, sweet and quiet. I like other dogs and all the people I meet. My coat is soft and a warm golden color. So as soon as I got the the rescue I had to take medicine for an bladder infection, was groomed and after a little bit had surgery. I had some of the biggest bladder stones they had ever seen. Do you know how much bladder stones hurt...a lot! They would rub on my bladder wall with these little spikes that stick out and they did damage. I used to have urine that ran out and I couldn't control it. After a lot of healing and time I take medicine and I am better...perfect? no, but better. I will still tinkle when I get excited or wait too long to go outside. It's not that I don't know to potty outside because I have very good manners but it's possible I will have an accident and tinkle inside. I think still think I am worth loving, do you?
I am spayed, vaccinated and am microchipped. I will need to be groomed regularly and take medication the rest of my life. My adoption fee is 175.00. The first step in adopting me, Rosie, is to complete an application on the website dogsasfamily.org. Nothing can dim the light that shines within me or the love I can have for you. I am brave and strong. You are amazing to love a girl like me. I can't wait to meet you.
