Update 1/2019  I did it!  I have graduated from a training program.  I am leash, house, agility course and crate trained.  I know my basic commands and a few tricks too.  Adopt me now so we can continue to work on my manners together.

    Hello, I’m Elena.  I’m a 5 year-old red female chihuahua that weighs about 7 pounds.  When I came to the rescue I was so ill and needed emergency surgery.  Thankfully, I’m all better now and looking for someone to love me...forever!

   I like to talk a lot so you don’t have to wonder when someone’s at the door ‘cause I’ll let you know.  I like everybody, but especially you, my very own person.  Sometimes I like to play with other dogs & sometimes I prefer to have you all to myself.
Fluffy dog beds or someplace soft and warm are my favorite places to lay.  Although laying in the sun is heaven, I’d rather be inside our house next to you.

   I’ve had my teeth cleaned, been spay, vaccinated and microchipped.  I’m also current on heartworm and flea/tick preventative so I’m all ready to meet you, my forever family.  My adoption fee is $175.00 but first you need to fill out an application on our website dogsasfamily.org.  So, hurry...I’m so excited to meet you!
