Hi There. It's nice to meet a new friend. My name is Dexter. I am almost six years old and weigh less than 14 lbs. I have lost my home at least twice now. See I came to the rescue for help finding a home and was adopted. My new mom had something called a stroke and couldn't keep me anymore so I am looking for a new home. I miss her but I know I can love you too.
I like everyone I meet. Car rides are awesome and sitting in the car with you is wonderful. I know how to use a doggie door and to potty outside. Going for a walk with you is great and the treat I get when we get back is the best. I love food, stuffed toys and playing fetch. I am ok with children but honestly I am not comfortable around small children on a regular basis. They make me nervous. An older family or single person would be the best for me. Oh, I almost forgot to tell you I can be an escape artist. If you open the door and don't watch me I can run out real fast. It's not that I don't like you it's just a game to me.
I have been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and am current on heartworm & flea/tick preventative. My adoption fee is 175.00 and the first step in adopting me is to complete an application at www.dogsasfamily.org. Remember to choose Dexter, that's me. I can't wait to be your companion.
