Hey there, it’s me Hunter.  I escaped my last home and dragging my chain in the rain I found help.  A very nice lady took me home and called the rescue.  My hair was matted so bad I could hardly move.  After I was groomed I had lost over two pounds of hair.  So now I weigh 9.6 lbs. and feel wonderful.

They say I am a mix between a yorkie and a dachshund and the name for that is a dorkie.  Wow, what a name huh?  Well at least I don’t shed and I am very athletic.  Sometimes I talk a little too much too.  It is just I get so excited.  I am an adult about two years old.

I like to play with the other dogs if they can keep up with me.  Yes, running fast inside the fenced yard is fun.  I am free, yes finally free and safe.  I want to learn so much that I was sent to a dog training program in a prison.  I graduated in June 2013 and I know all my basic manners plus am house trained and leash trained.  I am so excited.

I went to the vet and was neutered, micro chipped and vaccinated.  My adoption fee is 150.00 and you can fill out an application for me, Hunter, at www.dogsasfamily.com.  Do it now and maybe I can come home with you when I graduate from the training program?  That would be a wonderful gift, knowledge and a home all at once.
