Hey there, my name is Cowboy.  I am a male chihuahua mix.  I weigh almost 11 lbs. and am about three years old.  I lost my home when my mom went to a special place called heaven.  It wasn't her fault and I will always love her anyways.  I came to the rescue with my fur brother Dakota and sister Jessie.  We don't need to stay together and I am ready for a new home.

When I first got here I was scared and loud noises or fast movements made me run and hide, not anymore. You could also see all my bones sticking out and I was very hungry, not anymore.  Actually, I probably weigh more than eleven pounds now.  No, I am not huge but I have filled out a little.  I love food, snacks and just seeing you.  I play well with other dogs.  Sure I might bark when we first meet but then I fall in love with you so that's all over.  I can run fast and I love to play. Yes, I know to potty outside but you will have to remind me at first so I get to know our routine. I have been around children but a little older would be better.  I have a few scars and I hope you can look past them and see into my heart.  I could love you so much!

I have been neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.  I am also current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative.   I tested positive for ehrlichia caused by a tick bite and have been treated but I will always test positive for it now.  My adoption fee is 175.00.  The first step in adopting me is to complete an adoption application for me, Cowboy, at dogsasfamily.org.   Do you need a little loving Cowboy to put a big smile on your face?   Well then adopt me partner!
