Hi. My name is Sammy. I am about five years old and I weigh a little over eleven pounds. I came to the rescue after someone took me to the shelter after they said they found me. I had identification on me but the family said I wasn't theirs. I have no idea why they would have said that but I forgive them. I needed the rescue and am glad to be here.
When the rescue first took me to the vet I tested positive for something called heartworms. They are preventable with a medication and are caused by a mosquito bite. The rescue had me treated for them and after six months I test negative now. I also had two cherry eyes and I had surgery to correct those too. See. why I am glad I am here? Anyways, I am a happy friendly guy. I like other dogs, treats and you. I am house trained. I am good at following directions, am quiet and easy going. I love to sit with you and cuddle if asked.
I went to the vet and had vaccinations, am neutered, had my teeth cleaned, and micro chipped. My adoption fee is 150.00. The first step in the adoption process is to complete and application for me, Sammy, at dogsasfamily.org. I have so much love and friendship to offer, can I give it to you?
