Hi, my name is Brandy. I am a female Doberman. I weigh about 70 pounds and just turned twelve in February. I came to the rescue after I was found starving. I was so hungry that I found a plastic bag of human feces and I ate it. I stayed at the vet to make sure I would be ok and then came to the rescue. The rescue scanned me for a microchip and found out my owner had passed away and my birthdate. So now I am looking for a safe, loving home to spent the rest of my life.
So, at my age things are starting to wear out. My back end is loose and I slip and fall sometimes but I get right back up so I do take some joint supplements now. I came in testing positive for Ehrlichia (a tick borne illness) and have been treated for that. I also had a really bad cracked tooth so I had that removed and my teeth cleaned. They did all kinds of bloodwork and everything looked pretty good except my liver levels so I take a supplement for that. Overall, I am in pretty good shape for a girl my age. That being said life has no guarantees and I want a family. I appear to be housetrained, crate trained and get along with most other dogs. I am sweet and follow directions well. People, that is what is most important to me.
I have been spayed, vaccinated and micro chipped. My adoption fee is 50.00. The first step in taking me home is to complete an application at dogsasfamily.org. Can you give an old gal a place to live out her days on this earth and in exchange I will love you unconditionally?
