Hey, I’m Abbie. They say I am a shepherd mix because I only weigh 45 lbs. I think that is a pretty good size for a house dog. Oh, I forgot to tell you I am already three years old so I am not a child, I am an adult.
My last mom is getting married and didn’t make plans to take me with her so I came to the rescue. I was sad because I thought I was important, a part of the family, but I guess not. Maybe you could adopt me and we could be a family?
The people here at the rescue checked my blood work and I had something called heartworms. They gave me these shots to get rid of them and I have been resting for thirty days now. I never realized I could get sick from a mosquito bite but it can happen to any of us. Well I am glad that is over. Pretty soon I will be with you and this will all be behind me.
I can be a little quiet when we meet but I just want to be sure you like me before I come up to you. I like to play with you. Maybe you could throw a toy and I could chase it for you? It would be nice if your yard is fenced so I can feel safe and free to run, potty or play when I am outside.
