UPDATE 11/8/2017 - I have exciting news…I entered an eight-week prison training program. When I graduate I will be house trained, leash trained, crate trained, know all my basic obedience, be able to work on an agility course and can show you a few tricks too. If you are interested in adopting me please fill out an adoption application now at www.dogsasfamily.com. When I graduate I can come straight home into your arms. Love you soon.
Hello. My name is Joy and I am a five year old that weighs about fourteen pounds. I came to the rescue with ten other yorkies from a place called a puppy mill. The only reason I was there was to have babies and then they took them all away. I am glad the rescue got me out of there so I could see my dreams of a home and family come true with your help.
When I arrived her I was groomed and they did some tests. Well one of them showed I had something called heartworms. The rescue said they would treat them and I would be ok. So for the last few months I have been going through the treatment. I had to stay quiet and not run around. Now it's time to go to my own home with a fenced yard that I can be safe in. I like people and other dogs. I am unsure at first but if you pick me up I love to cuddle and be close to you. I don't consider myself as shy as some of the others that came with me although I do need work on house training.
I have been vaccinated, spay, microchipped, had my teeth cleaned and was groomed. My adoption fee is 250.00. The first step is to fill out an application at www.dogsasfamily.org. Let me be a new "Joy" in your life.
